Robin, I tried to cancel my post because the link was wrong when I tried it on my PC. How did you manage to get to the camp's Facebook page. Did you see all the photos. I met these people on more than one occasion and they gave me clues to the best canoeing wilderness of those days. The camp has been close for some time now and the logging and outfitting posts have entered than territory rendering it useless as all the portages have disappeared. We could make month long circuits there is those days and never see any evidence of humans except for the portages maintained by the trappers.

I went to Face book and typed in the name. The trout they caught in those days where huge. I drove by Carl Williams house one day and saw him out in the yard, I introduced myself and we talked about his camp and the area, he mentioned I should call him to see all his pictures and check out his gear. Sadly, he passed before I ever made that call.
I really like to see those pictures of the kids in jeans and wool jack shirts, long hair and wood canoes, I can relate to those guys, good ole' days.
