It can sometimes be a hassle keeping your photo/video gear safe and dry while out on the water. After years of using soft-sided camera bags I've switched to more durable hard-shell cases...they're a little more bulkier, but they shure do protect the gear. There are other solutions like getting a waterproof housing to fit your particular camera, but you still need to stow it somewhere when not in use.
