"Enjoy our list of 101 of the best paddling, canoeing, kayaking, river, lake, ocean and adventure quotes to make you laugh, ponder and inspire you to get outdoors and seek your next great paddling journey!"

Some of these quotes are really good. Pick your favorites, or make up your own sayings. I like a lot of them, but I'll select this one that I've heard and lived by for a long time:

“Everyone must believe in something. I believe I’ll go canoeing.” — Henry David Thoreau

Not exactly paddling specific but these were all used a lot when out on trips:

Let's be like a baby and head out!

Let's be like a tree and leave...

Let's be like a hockey player and get the puck out of here!

And my own all time favorite, and more in the paddling arena..."there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." as quoted by Ratty in The Wind in the Willows.

That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well.
