POLL: How do you pronounce portage?

I use "carries" as well, most of my canoeing is in the adarondacks. Then would be pour tij. What do new englanders call this exercise? For example the north forest canoe trail? You got me on that one, I thought it was a cigarette?

What races are you paddling in 2025?

Wow "ely portage marathon". That just screams fun! I wonder why they chose the boats they did? There are lighter boats out there. Mr. Bossen put in a real solid time at 4hr 11min can't imagine there was to much walking for that/ (6-6.5 mph avg est.). I bet his knees hurt.

Will sun damage a GRB Carbon Classic canoe?

Can't answer, but maybe a canoe sock would block uv's. People use them for protection from uv and road debris. Good luck that's a nice boat. How did it end up in Norway? Welcome to the site

Waterproof case that holds phone and wallet?

I like the pelican case as well. They come in different sizes, and have a rubber liner. I usually also carry a 10000 mah battery pack in it. If the seal is clean, it's almost guaranteed water proof. Also it is easy to tye on loops or put on key rings ,because of a plastic bar and teather loop...
