Never ever had an issue. I've even forgotten to lock my doors on more than a few occasions. Once my truck was keyed but I suspect I know who did that. We may have expensive groceries and no restaurants but I always feel good about leaving my vehicle

MEC has two Ti sporks. One is $15 and the other is $21. That first spork you have there I highly recommend avoiding. They break way way too easy.

You could fashion an eating utensil quite easily out of a forked stick. I've done this when I have forgotten to bring a fork.

What about using a different kind of barrier instead of a physical one. Try a bag of cat hair in a cheesecloth pouch. Or maybe cayenne pepper?
