Thank you. Thats true, they could probably be converted into sleeves if you had long pants but short sleeves.

Two canoes one kayak, it's the wife's kayak I've never even sat in it and she's only used it once, I think this is the third season we've had it. I'm not a kayak fan and it's just hard for my wife to get it to the lake by herself.

A no-see-em ballroom gown would be impenetrable as well as fashionable. :) My problem is I that I don't think I have large enough pieces of scrap left to make some proper ones, so I'll have to order more netting to make another pair.

I too dislike zip off pants, of course I have several pair but I still dislike them. I may even make some pant legs that work along these lines so great is my dislike for the zip offs. I'll report back on the efficacy of the bug chaps They will certainly have their limitations, but I won't...

I'm anxious to try them out, but my preference is that there will not be enough bugs to give them a proper test. :) I"m somewhat similar, if its warm out I want shorts on and if the bugs are out I still want shorts on, I'm hoping this works out to be a decent compromise.

I've never been one to be terribly concerned about looking ridiculous, so this seemed right up my alley. I recently made a new bug net for my hammock and with one of the off cuts I made a pair of these bug chaps. Almost no real effort went into them. I just sewed the off cut into one long tube...

Well done Dagger. I really need to get the wannigan project to the top of the list. I don't want to build a particularly huge one but I'm hoping I can get my cooking accoutrements as well as my food in it and still be able to carry it. :)

I've bought the large diameter pool noodles with the hole in the center and cut it into about 1' lengths, slice it down one side and "clip" it on the gunwale. I have found these to be more durable than the dedicated foam blocks that many places sell and at a fraction of the cost...like less...
