    Carry yoke pads??

I think it would benefit from the elevation that the shoulder pads give because my yoke is really just a thwart... no neck cure to it. Placing them off center sounds like a good idea, should build a little more space between my neck and the bar. Now that sound like a combo I could get on...

    Carry yoke pads??

I was kink of thinking that elevating the bar off my neck would do the trick. Padding the bar might work too. Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the clamp on ones will have to go right were the current one is. But the yoke pads look interesting. I've tried the pool noodle and its definitely...

Removing odor from a blue barrel

+1 to yellowcanoes link. My dog took a skunk straight to the face a year ago and I made a paste with peroxide and backing soda (don't think we used the dish soap) but we did a couple applications of that and and it really worked a treat. On day one you'd have to get within about a foot or two...

    Carry yoke pads??

My wooden canoe has a straight yoke, I suppose its more of a thwart than a yoke but either way it is more than a little uncomfortable to carry this thing around. I'm not terribly interested in changing the yoke to one that is yoke shaped largely because this is the original thwart.....and I'm...

    Best tripping coffee mug?

I have one of these little gems; Kapilka Cup. Its small but I don't mind, I don't like to drink from a cup with a lid but I do like my coffee hot so the small volume allows for frequent refills and not enough time for it to get cold. That being said, when I winter camp I'll use a cup with a...

Thanks Robin. I do enjoy playing with the reflector oven, I enjoy it even more when giant chocolate chip cookies come out of it. :D Love the chair, its and REI something or other, and its quite comfortable and its a bit taller than my old chair so a bit easier on the entry/exit. Thank you...

I'm having trouble getting a video together for this trip (time wise anyway) so I'll throw out some fotos and a brief rundown of the trip. We started on Rain lk. by the time we got on the water it was afternoon but we didn't have super far to go so we weren't concerned. Stopped on the big...

Algonquin Park questons (Smoke Lake Access Point)

To answer your second question you can check with the ranger when you get your permit if the sites on the lakes on your itinerary are full then you'll get a better idea for how important it is to keep to your itinerary. Last year I stayed on a lake I didn't schedule and it was no problem there...
