    Adirondack Gathering October 6,7,8 & 9th- 2017

Any particular type of Liquor preferred? I bought a sixpack of Long Trail for sweeper but since he bailed I had to drink it.. No Grand Marnier for David. I was thinking about doing a potroast in a dutch oven which I do not own yet... Any thoughts.? No Portage = Bigger Cooler.

    Hello from WNY

Welcome Justin. Great to have you here. Just wanted to let you know we have a gathering coming up Columbus day Weekend on Little Tupper Lake. We will be paddling down to the South Western part of the lake and occupying several sites. Check out the "Lets get Together" thread.

As far as a water filter is concerned, get one that back flushes and a spare filter is a good insurance policy. Nothing worse than a clogged filter when you need it most. A base camp bladder type is nice in camp, you fill the bladder and let gravity do the work. Folks in the Boundary Waters...

20 days! Colors are starting to change in the high peaks. I have too much vacation time left and depending on weather, I may head up to the area on Wed.

Very interesting. I hope we can see some of the pictures.. Some of us here on C.T. are going to Little Tupper in a few weeks. The foliage should be peak or near peak, I hope to get some great shots.

    2017 Bog R/Low's L Video

Nice video. Interesting setup that you partner has there with the camera tripod. Is it taped in, weighted or just positioned there with no special adjustments?

What are your favorite accessories when paddling?

What kind of paddle do you use? Are you sit and switch, or correction stroke? If you are putting on a lot of miles, the paddle is the one thing you are getting the most use out of. A good lightweight paddle is always a luxury. A Carbon fiber paddle weighing in at less than 12 ounces is great on...

If you are running late or Little Tupper is choppy, You can always grab a site on round pond if you wish to paddle in, grab a site on Horseshoe Lake or that one site on the road into Lows and then get an early start on Friday morning. I wont make a decision on which day I drive up until the...

If you don't mind keeping your feet to the side all the time. I move mine to center and to sides, whatever your preference. Those would give room to slide equipment fore and aft though without the bar all the way across.

Here also is an informative thread, you can search adjustable foot brace on there as well. There is one guy who machined some blocks, glued them in and bolted the tracks to them. http://bwca.com/index.cfm?fuseaction...ID=15&confID=1 http://photos.bwca.com/w/WHENDRIX-010517-145933.JPG

    Wenonah Advantage / C1W opportunity

Foot rest is a metal bar that doesn't move. It's screwed into two blocks of wood cast into the layup of the boat. The only way to adjust it is to drill more holes and hope you get it right. This had my knees up too high which I don't care for. I need to find an adjustable option here. Wenonah...

There is no such thing as having too many boats. ;). Yes the pricing is just a little puzzling.
