I've been using a LifeStraw for years. I also have a Berkey I use if we a staying in one spot for an extended period of time.

This is the exact reason I am thinking about adding them to by Chestnut Vee stern. I always believed they were for overspray and docking. "rubbing" against the dock when tied off.

Looks great Robin. My Garry is my main solo canoe. I love the depth of the Prospectors. I use an Azland leather seat just ahead of the rear thwart. It gives me the ability to paddle bow first. Good to see this one back on the water.

I saw the Fox in person the last time I stopped by to see Dave. It is very clean. I agree with Robin on the price. Very reasonable. The original owner told me she bought it for 700 and spent another 700 on having the canvas replaced. I do not know what year she had it redone.

Strange. I have the original receipt for my Prospector and there is no mention of the keel being an add on. Good to know.

This may be my favorite hull design of all the boats I have paddled. Both composite and wood/canvas. And I have paddled and owned most of the top contenders over the years. You can't go wrong here. Good luck and enjoy.

Camp is set up and we are out on Follensby Clear. Loons are everywhere. See you tomorrow at assembly.

No registration is required to walk around and enjoy the event. I emailed to make sure of this about 2 weeks ago.

I am camping at Fish Creek. Buck Pond is a great option as well. I recommend making reservations online ahead of time. If you find that the campgrounds are sold out refresh the page every hour. You will be surprised how quickly a site will become available and how quickly it will be booked.

Adirondack weekend

I replaced one of my Duluth packs with a Wannigan last seaon. I'm happy with it. Easier to organize, makes a good seat or stool if needed. Mine has a chess board on the underside of the top. I'm a fan.
