Glenn, usually that lake freezes along the shore for a few weeks. I never heard that the whole lake was frozen over. What you can see in the bow is water ballast and a dry bag with extra clothes and some other stuff in it.

It's a very mild winter over here in Switzerland. I like snow a lot. I'm usually very much into skitouring (going up the mountains with skins on and ski down) but I haven't felt like going this winter due to the lack of snow. The good thing about it: access to soft water... Pictures taken...

I got this paddle about 10 years ago. Since then it gets dipped 1 to 2 times a week, year round. I love it!
