    Old Town Pack Solo

That could be, thinking back, 35lbs seems to right on track but I dont remember. For some reason, 38lbs after the ropes and ribs seems right in my mind. I wont be up north until August, but if I remember, i will try to get a weight, and look at the Ser# to see what year it was made jason

    My First Canoe Build

Wow! Nice job! If you cant source seat hangar bolts, in a pinch, threaded rod with a finish washer and cap nut would get you through your first trip and you could order longer machine screws. I am eagerly awaiting your trip photos! Jason

    Old Town Pack Solo

Also, as YC stated up thread, I loved this little boat on the Oswegotchie. I had it on Stillwater once too! Didn't get too far away from shore! Carrying up the trail was a breeze and it's good to fish from. I wouldn't use it for trips longer than a few nights though. Jason

    Old Town Pack Solo

Jeez, cant remember what year it was, I picked it up from a lady on craigslist and it now hangs on my father's garage wall 6 hours away! It was pretty beat up though. http://www.canoetripping.net/forums/forum/general-paddling-discussions/diy/380-old-town-pack-restoration here is the old post I...

    Old Town Pack Solo

Orange tubing is for a diy spray deck, and this one oil canned really bad. With my 225lbs rear on the seat, I couldn't even fit a GSI dry box under there. Probably canned in 4 inches maybe?

    Fiberglassing Out Doors

Rain, bugs, and wind-blown debris mucking up the epoxy. Other than that, nothing. I would leave the basement door open, and a window with a fan blowing out if it were me. (Being in TN I assume you have screens for the windows and maybe even the door? We do in Northern NY) Jason

    Overhead Canoe Storage

I have 5 on the kayak hoists. As already said, you can buy the hoist system cheaper than piecemealing one together on your own. (Quality would be better DIY IMO though) be sure to check clearance height before driving outta the garage/shop. Actually had an issue once, pulling out wasnt a...

    Post Apocalypse Tripping World

Odyssey, I liked you post, not because its cool, but I must unfortunately agree with you. I'm afraid that until there is a vaccine (12 to 18 months from now) we will not be back to "normal" I hope that when we do get out this summer, we find access points nearly vacant, and those that are...
