    Best "tea bag" coffee?

My wife likes the Folgers coffee bags when we are traveling. I’m a tea drinker myself, so teabags for me.

Northstar Firebird and Savage River Illusion

I really like my Northstar Trillium, the Firebird should make a nice quick water stream boat with its increased rocker.

    “Need” a new solo!

My Trillium is the same way, pretty sure closed cell foam does not absorb water. From Northstar's site: Northstar arrived at our current flotation after research and development. We designed our end tanks to reduce weight, maximize space for paddlers and gear, and safely float a capsized...

How much do you baby your composite boat on shore? (susceptibility to scratches?)

I have a Northstar Trillium pack boat in Blacklite and unfortunately this year I have encountered a few submerged rocks and it does show scratches. I found that if the scratches are superficial I use a Sharpie fine point permanent marker in slate grey and they disappear. The same for my wife’s...

Trailers: Tips for Backing Up, Driving, Maintaining?

Glenn, why not just purchase a wireless camera and stick it on the trailer or van when you get to the boat launch?

    Considering Northstar Firebird pack

I have a Trillium pack and really enjoy it. The Firebird would be too wind sensitive for me but you could ask Northstar about installing their lounger seat instead of the foam seat. The lounger seat has 12” of adjustment fore and aft and adds around 3 lbs..

To buy or not to buy—Swift Prospector 14 expedition Kevlar

What about a Northstar Trillium solo in IXP layup, 38 lbs.? It has 2.5” X 1.5” rocker which should be a better maneuvering river/stream canoe.

Northstar or Bell Seliga- Does anyone have experience with one?

We are considering a Northstar Polaris, it is a little trimmer/faster, and slightly less rocker which should allow it to track better in windy conditions when crossing open water. I purchased a NS Trillium pack this spring and it is a very nice canoe.

    I Can't Lift/Transport My Morris Canoe! . . . or can I?

I like Halpc’s idea, but if a trailer is easier on the pocketbook, I would suggest the trailer made by The Dock Doctors. We have one and I am a 70 year old lightweight that handles the trailer easily.
