    As for guyouts and free standing and non freestanding, both have to be pegged and properly tied out!! A free standing tent doesn’t mean you don’t have to “peg” it down, it just mean that when erected the tent stand on its own!! Not anchoring the tent in anyways is a big mistake!!

    I would do the same... keep you eyes open, you never know what could come up, I lucked out on our campfire tent, Canadian made and it was right here in town!! The price was pretty good at 700 or 800 bucks Canadian!!

    Well I was gonna suggest that to Robin since that is what we use now in the summer! Ours is a 7x7x6(at the front) I think it is the best style of tent for the summer! It would benefit from having a internal frame like a Snowtrekker, for ease of set up but still it ain’t bad and man they are...

    Doug is a great guy and a great boat builder!! I almost pulled the plug on Kildonan timber cruiser he makes but when I realized that he had increased his prices I couldn’t afford to anymore!! He makes guitars too!! A really talented man!!

    Yes, 9 white water paddles!! Main tool to shape the blades is a variable speed grinder with 60 grid sanding/grinding flapper discs

    Here is an update on the long paddle build!! For things all glued up and shaped up and the latest is steam bending some white oak for the blade edge guard.... it went quite smooth..... to be continued!!
