    Magic spiff up

That sucks. Some thoughts. Use better masking tape, I like 3M. Pull it earlier, while the finish is wet. I lacked the confidence to recondition a recent carbon boat, and had a shop do it. They used West System epoxy. They said that was the resin in the original lay up. So far, so good.

    Buoyancy tank plugs

Good idea, I called. They use a different plug now, and can not get the old ones. He told me to just run an ordinary wood (twist) bit right in. he says that is how he does it. I will let you know how it turns out.

    Buoyancy tank plugs

The plugs in my Bells rotted out. Placid boatworks sent me some, but they are a little bigger in diameter. Any ideas how to widen a hole in a kevlar carbon hybrid panel? Step bit? Abrasive?

A solo paddler's minimalist first aid kit

Lets not get casual about the drugs in a first aid kit. Epinephrine is a rx, med. Unless you have a prescription, you may not carry it. Also expired, or frozen epi is a problem.
