Shipping of Yakima round bars

The cheapest way to ship things is through PirateShip. I haven’t used it yet but my friend says it saved him a bundle shipping Christmas gifts. Apparently you sign up with PirateShip upload the weight and dimensions of the package, it calculates and then you print out a label. You can use UPS or USPO, not sure about FedEx.

Also put them in a square box not a round tube, round tube need to be hand scanned so more expensive.

They are nothing more than very expensive 3/4" pipe, just buy the towers and go to your local building supply store and buy some pipe in whatever length you want. Been using mine like this for 10 years with no issue.
Just the answer I wanted to here. Thanks

Just to add, virtually all carriers have added significant extra charges for oversize items over the past year or two. This has hit sellers of golf clubs, fishing rods and similar items really hard, in some cases it has doubled shipping costs. Relevant to people here would be the cost to ship paddles or any tent poles if they don't come in sections that be broken down to shorter lengths.

For USPS Priority, anything longer than 30" is subject to an $18 extra fee.
