Oswegatchie intel

I was there ten days ago and it was at a good level. Definitely not too high and not too low either. There was plenty of water, even in the few shallow spots. The river is mostly deep pools and the shallow spots are short, so even if you had to drag a little I think it would still be doable. I think the gauge in the town of Oswegatchie read around 2.5 ft, but that was a couple days after I did it.

Thank you LA,

Did I miss a trip report? Probably the most reasonable answer.

Have not been up there in 12 - 13 years. Worse part is each year I PLAN to go but something interferes.

Thanks again!

Time to get back to the old yearly trip, now that the dam is competed (again). I have been there nearly 50 times, including 30 years every June while instructing an 8-day trek leadership certification program for BSA high adventure guide training. Plus separately my own personal solo trip nearly every year since the area became state land and opened to the public.
