I spent 3 nights at a small lake in central Maine September ‘24 with my new canvas Campfire Tent. Here’s a short video,
This tent has a floor, it’s supposed to be “water resistant”. I placed my old Hudson Bay blanket over the floor on my first trip to keep the floor clean. I suppose I’ll find a sheet of plastic to use as a ground sheet.Very nice video trip report and video editing, Robin. Glad there's lots of non-portage canoeing available for us middle-aged folks.
I've never camped a floorless tent . . . well, not since the canvas pup tents in boy scouts in the Middle Ages. Do you have to be very careful where you pitch them to avoid water intrusion in heavy rains?
