NFCT Northstar B 16 raffle

The NFCT is holding one of its periodic raffles, this one for a Northstar B 16. Drawing date August 15.

I never could resist a canoe raffle and paid my hope maintenance tax.

I dont understand how their raffles work. I asked about the process during each of the last two and got no response. They don't provide confirmation numbers, odds, drawing method, or anything else. Seems odd.

Don't get me wrong, I play every time because I like the organization, but the raffles are handled very differently than to those which I am accustomed.

I used to belong to an internet forum that did frequent and often very generous giveaways, in which interested parties would say "I'm in" or some variation and their post number was their 'raffle ticket', but by and large the giver and his friends would just pick the entrant they thought deserved it most and give it to them.

I mostly consider it a donation. Winning would be icing on the cake (to understate it). But, it'd be nice if rules were posted.
