Detachable Yoke for Swift Carbon Gunnels

    Knobs with Allen Cap Screws.

    Advice on Removable Yoke Project

I am assuming that the Swift threads are just a Rivnut and can be a bit delicate in the carbon fiber gunwale. Be careful not to lift the boat pulling up on these but they will hold the yoke in place with no problem.

Detachable Yoke for Swift Carbon Gunnels

How did you make out Blackfly? I just made one for mine. I bought a cherry Yoke from Northwest Canoe Outfitters. The knob I used, is a round knob, from Ace Hardware and the bolt is a 3" stainless steel, Allen cap screw, fully threaded, and cut down to allow five turns into the rivnut. The knob...

St Regis Canoe Area, NY ADKs - asking for tips and advice

You probably cant go wrong there this time of year, it may get busy on Friday and Saturday but if you are there early enough on Friday you can most likely snag a choice site. I carried from Floodwood to Long Pond back in August, I was able to get the least desirable site early on a Friday...

Not Maine but nice plan B, ADK Low’s Lake

Have you tried the DEC website? https://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/lands_forests_pdf/mapbogrivcamp.pdf Yes the lower dam is where most put ins occur, parking is tight in the lot on busy weekends and summer weeks. Parking along the road is acceptable. There are even a site or two along the driveway to...

    Destination: Lake Lila, NY Adirondacks

Do you know the condition of the road onto Lila? It can get pretty rough with rocks jutting out, I only drove it once with an SUV, I did see some low clearance vehicles in there, but be very careful on the way in and out if you don't have the clearance. I only drove to lot and walked down to the...

    Can you identify this canoe

Pricing can be tricky. You don't know the age, it could be 20-30 years old. Was it stored inside? Looks like it wasn't, condition is everything. I would say $800 is unrealistic, it would probably sell at $400 pretty quickly, if you are offered $600, IMHO that would be a good price for you but...

    Hemlock SRT

I see that you have it up on Craigslist as well, don't fall for any of those scams where they will send a cashiers check and pick it up later. If you want, you can also list it on the ADK Forum.

Also it may help to tell where the boat is located, how far you may be willing to travel to meet and where you may be planning a trip to. How are you doing on those paddles? Any 52" bent shafts? Price?
