What are your current solo canoes and how do you like them?

    Yes. Yes I am!

Hauling Two Canoes When Thule Hates You

A word of warning- the INNO bars only work with old Thule Tracker II towers. The new style slotted Thule square bars and towers etc are incompatible.

Issue with rack for new truck

It takes a bit of searching to get the right part numbers, but you can order the pieces and sometimes one complete rack from Rhino Rack. That is what I did for my ‘09 Silverado. Then I used a T-bar hitch rack on the back. Worked great and allowed me to access my hard tonneau cover with 2 canoes...

    Northern lights

The only thing I saw was the Starlink satellite train. Had no idea what it was but the internet provided an answer.

Hauling Two Canoes When Thule Hates You

Thule may hate us but Rhino-rack doesn’t! They make some long load bars. Unfortunately they don’t make foot packs for every bar for every vehicle. You’ll have to put your model and year in to see what they offer. https://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/cross-bar

    Northern lights

Friends here in N FL saw them last night! I went to bed before 10 and missed them. We’re gonna try and stay up for them tonight. Hope they’re visible again.

    Paddle making extravaganza

That’s perfect! My kid loves it, he wants it :ROFLMAO: I told him he’d have to make one himself.

    Bell Wildfire RX (Yellowstone) Restomod

Looks good, but I’d recommend some random sanding on it. That is going to be a ruthless source of glare! And I’d knock down the corners a bit more and round over the top perimeter of the plate a bit more.

    Bell Wildfire RX (Yellowstone) Restomod

I like the bullnose on those OEM decks!

The Tangerine Dream arrived early! (New Hemlock SRT)

That boat needs a pair of “01” decals about 8” tall on either side midships :D

I use that same Northstar pad. Seemed awfully expensive but I wouldn’t be without it. And I do use a pool noodle under my ankles. Can’t kneel very long without it. Sometimes straightening up off the seat is enough to get a break, but sometimes I need to sit and stretch my legs.

Looking closer, I think I have this same rack on the 4R. Old school Thule euro bars and newer foot packs with the rubber coated steel strap? They sure are easy to install, but my god do they howl on the 4R.

I like the pink flagging on the bar ends. You could stick tennis balls on the ends for head bumper protection!

    Paddle making extravaganza

My 9yo would be more excited about a blocky paddle in Minecraft. He’d probably go whack sheep with it. (video game characterized by pixelated stages, objects, animals, and people as a throwback to those gen 1 poor res games)

New cars: are they as impossible as they seem for cartopping?

Isn’t this just insane? This is why I like an AC that I set to the color I want (red or blue or mixed) and how hard I want the fan to blow. There’s no reason for the car to know what the temp is, inside or out, nor what temp I want the inside of the car to become. I’ll back the controls down...

New cars: are they as impossible as they seem for cartopping?

You’re right. There are some choices to be made when accepting certain employment. I wouldn’t choose them.

New cars: are they as impossible as they seem for cartopping?

Only under extreme and limited circumstances, such as visiting Alaska or Hawaii. If I can make the drive in 2 days, then no. At three days I may consider it. For me the journey is almost always as important as the destination, why miss out on all the great places the urbanites refer to as...

New cars: are they as impossible as they seem for cartopping?

Where’s my little flying VW bubble that turns itself into a briefcase upon my arrival at work?

New cars: are they as impossible as they seem for cartopping?

No. No. And No. the last thing we need is imperfect electronic crutches to allow drivers to pay less attention to the job at hand.
