    Adirondack Gathering October 6,7,8 & 9th- 2017

Mike and I paddled on that trip, loved it. Plus your brisket in the dutch oven, we did have rain on way back to the put in. Glad I have those memories, I need to look for pictures that are on an old external drive. Hope all is well Bruce. Best wishes

    BWCA late June 2026

Oh boy! perfect timing on your post and great pictures. I just mentioned in another thread about going next year back to the BWCA, what a gem and only 800 miles away from my new location in Denver. Thanks for sharing, you made me a believer again! Now countdown, 11 months........

    Almost ten years

Bruce! you made a bomber brisket in that aluminum dutch over with potatoes! It was a lot of fun, ,I do recall it raining on the way back to the put in. Gosh, 10 years....so much happened in that decade, one of my best 10 years. We too did a NJ Mullica paddle and I recall us hot tenting...

Time to throw in the towel

Robin, like others have said, your videos and postings were an inspiration to me (A Queens boy) as well. I'll always remember stripping the varnish from my Chestnut Chum and removing the goggles a bit to early. "Yeow!" when some splashed into my eye, ""Yeow!" Your ADK trip app 10 years...

Green River, UT- Labyrinth Canyon in High Water

Love CT site, in Denver now. Received a call from the RMCC with an inquiry about this type of trip in September. So much different from the NorthEast paddling and spotting vehicles. Pretty stoked to check this out. Found out that filtering water not going to work so one has to bring enough...

Yea Kahel, I was surprised when I looked at a selfi picture after wearing goggles and saw how red I was. I actually put on sunscreen which they did put on the supply list. After seeing that I wondered what my toes looked like but was to scared to look. Funny as I type this my nose is cold in...

Whoo Hooo! Thanks to Air Canada for getting me there and a HUGE shout out to Lure of the North, Kie, Dave Marrone, Nero and the team for getting me through the trip and back home. I've been waiting about 5 or more years after watching Hoop's videos's and Wintertrekking website. All I can...

    LOTN trip! Weeeeeee!

Leaving on Friday, renting some gear and bringing my own. Got quite a few emotions going from excited, nervous, happy and others. Interesting when being limited to 2 duffel bags and a small backpack. I'm so used to taking the kitchen sink but it's nice to take what's needed and not my wants...

    LOTN trip! Weeeeeee!

Yes Snapper, lucky me they started a trip like that. Nice and easy one step at a time. Glenn, the way our winters are going it might not be so bad. But you know my screen name is "coldfeet" so I'm planning on getting those boots that Bob B just mentioned. I always wanted the Mukluks and not...

    LOTN trip! Weeeeeee!

Woa! Bob B! So over the years I bought 3 pairs of wooden snowshoes, sort of got into decorating the "man cave". One pair are the Bear Paws, other is the modified Bear Paws and then the big arse Teardrops. The Teardrops are HUGE and it was a spur of the moment (for sale on FB these days)...
